Dependable software, from a team that's accountable for it.
DevOption gives organizations of every size access to the kind of software craftsmanship usually reserved for companies with large engineering teams — built carefully, run reliably, and backed by real people who answer for the work. We're a small, senior team led by founder Derek Bourgeois.
Derek Bourgeois
Founder & Principal Engineer
DevOption is led by Derek Bourgeois, a principal engineer with more than twenty years building the platforms, internal tools, and delivery systems that organizations depend on. His career spans defense programs with strict security and compliance requirements, regulated healthcare systems, and enterprise platforms operating at massive scale — the environments where software simply has to work.
He started DevOption to bring that same discipline to teams that need dependable custom software but don't have a platform team of their own. The result is a partner who builds with enterprise-grade care, keeps you in the loop the entire way, and stays accountable long after launch.

What we stand on
The habits behind every project.
A veteran-owned approach that shows up in how the work gets done.
Reliability
Once we commit, the software runs — and we are the ones who keep it running. No hand-off to a void.
Straight talk
Honest estimates, plain language, and work we are proud to put our name on. No surprises in the invoice or the incident log.
Mission focus
Understand the objective, cut what does not serve it, and finish the job. Discipline borrowed from a different kind of service.
Work with a partner who's in it for the long run.
